Conduction Technologies was founded in February of 2019 and we just celebrated our fourth birthday! We even marked the occasion by going out as a team and bowling some strikes! A lot has happened in our four years of business, and 2022 was no different. We spent the past year expanding our team, adding capabilities, implementing new processes and procedures, and gearing up for even bigger things to come.
Year of Growth
Growth is always a priority for businesses as young as ours, but it was an even bigger theme than usual for us in 2022. Over the summer, we welcomed two interns as additions to our engineering team. We also doubled the size of our full-time staff, adding team members that brought new skill sets and capabilities to the table for our team and our customers. All of this growth meant that we quickly found ourselves outgrowing our old location and looking for a new place to call home.
After a few months of searching, we finally found a spot that met our needs. We packed our things and opened up the door of our new office towards the end of July. The new office gave us more than twice the space, which we immediately took advantage of by setting up several prototype development stations. Multiple stations mean we can now perform the development and testing of products concurrently. Concurrent development and testing mean the potential for drastic optimizations of workflow. More people. More space. More capability.
Launching LRIP
One of the other key things that our new office enabled was further development of our newly-launched Low Rate Initial Production service. Over the first year offering LRIP services, we manufactured over 1000 products. In practice, this meant that we were able to give our customers more time to focus on their business needs while we supported fulfilling their technology and supply chain management needs.
Heightened Focus on Quality
Continuing on with the themes of growth and optimization, Conduction’s fourth year also included the implementation of a new quality management system. Our new processes and procedures demand clear documentation and processes for consistent and premium work product delivery. This is a big step in the maturity of any business, and this past year seemed like the perfect time for us. The introduction of this quality management system positions us to capitalize on the growth of our team and capabilities to support our customers at our highest possible capacity.
The Year Ahead
As we look at the year ahead, we are excited to further accelerate the trend of growth we have experienced these first four years of business. Several of our projects are poised to be elevated to production. Our team is ready to support more great companies. As always, we remain fully committed to our goal of supporting our customers long-term as product engineering experts. We will continue to strive to deliver core value and flexible support to our customers as they face the challenges of product development.
